There is a debate in public that TV reporters had become very powerful, crucial, social change agents, but at the same time they are criticized that they are money orient and power seeker. Many times they exert in due pressure on employees, therefore, it was thought that employees would have different type of opinion about TV reporters. The present research, therefore aimed at to investigate the gender and job category variations in attitude towards TV news reporters. An Attitude towards TV News Reporters was administered on 90 males and 90 females employees taken equally from three job categories i.e. government teacher, government employee and government officers. In two way ANOVA results found to be significant in case of activeness dimension only.Keywords

The purpose of the present research work was conducted to examine the relationship between quality of life and health of female asthmatic patients. The sample consisted of 100 female participants selected from the different hospitals in Raipur district of Chhattisgarh. The emotional and physical distress was assessed by CMI Health Questional (Wig, Pershad,& Verma, 1973) and to measure Quality of Life the P.G.I. Quality of life scale (Moudgil, Verma,& Kaur, 1998) was used. Regression result indicated that the quality of life is a significant predictor of emotional distress also demography variable, i.e., education and occupation of participants is significant in this study, in the case of physical distress the quality of life is significant predictor and the physical distress also predicted by the demographical variable education of the participants.Keywords

The purpose of this study was examined the relationship between self perception and CD4+ cell counts in men and women living with HIV/AIDS in Chhattisgarh, INDIA. 100 men and 100 women living with HIV and enrolled for ART centers were considered as sample of the study. CD4 cell counts over 6 months period was considered. Self perception of the participants was assessed with the help of a scale measuring self perception; linear regression analysis findings reveal significant contribution of the self perception and education in enhancing CD4+ counts. The results indicate that higher education and positive self perception is important in increase in the immune response of the HIV patients.Keywords

Several empirical piece of research work illustrated that predicting effect of social support on psychological wellbeing. But predicting effect of social support on psychological wellbeing is lacking in Indian perspectives. The purpose of current research work is to examine the predicting effect of social support on psychological wellbeing. Employed stratified disproportional random sampling technique 200 elderly within the age range of 60 to 70 years were selected from Chhattisgarh State. Correlational research design was employed in present research work. Psychological wellbeing was assessed by PGl general wellbeing questionnaire (Verma&Verma, 1989). Social support was assessed by self developed social support questionnaire. Predicting effect was examining by hierarchal regression analysis. Control factors (socio-demographic factors) explained 18% of total variance (R2=. 180; F (5, 194) = 100.250; p<0.01). Social support explained an additional 20% (F (1,193) = 35.121, p<0.01) of the variance. Those who had higher degree of social support (0.480, p<0.01) were reported higher levels of psychological wellbeing. There is satisfactory observed and statistical confirmation of the predicting effect of social support on psychological well being in elderly.Keywords
